This Privacy Policy describes how Mai Support, LLC (“Mai Support,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information obtained through your use of our website (maisupport.ai), our mobile application (the “App”), and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

If you access the App through a business partner deployment, that partner may receive aggregated or de-identified data regarding App usage and engagement. Individually identifiable recovery data is not shared with business partners without your explicit consent.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar corporate transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Mai Support, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Self-reported recovery and behavioral data within the App is retained in accordance with your account settings. 7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Sensitive recovery data transmitted through the App is encrypted in transit. However, no system is guaranteed to be 100% secure. APP DATA PRACTICES & SENSITIVE DATA NOTICE

This section provides additional disclosures specific to the Mai Support mobile application (“App”) and its handling of sensitive behavioral health and recovery-related data.

1. Nature of Data Collected by the App

The App is an AI-powered recovery support tool that may collect the following categories of sensitive self-reported information:

  • Recovery milestones, sobriety tracking, and relapse events
  • Self-reported craving frequency and intensity
  • Mood and emotional state check-ins
  • Behavioral patterns and responses to AI-guided support sessions
  • Goals and progress data entered by the user

 

This data is used exclusively to deliver personalized recovery support functionality within the App and to improve the AI models and features that power the Service. It is not used for advertising targeting, sold to data brokers, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to the Service.

2. AI Interactions and Data Use

Interactions with the Mai Support AI are processed to generate empathetic, personalized responses and to improve the App’s AI models over time. Session data may be reviewed by authorized personnel for quality assurance, safety monitoring, and model improvement purposes. Personally identifiable information is handled with appropriate access controls and is not used to train third-party AI systems.

3. No Clinical or Treatment Relationship

The App is a peer support and behavioral wellness tool. It is not a licensed clinical service and does not create a treatment relationship, provider-patient relationship, or any clinical obligation. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users in crisis should contact emergency services (911) or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

4. Business Partner Access

When the App is deployed through a business partner (e.g., a treatment facility or employer wellness program), that partner may have access to aggregated, de-identified usage metrics (e.g., session frequency, feature engagement). Individual user data and personally identifiable recovery information are accessible to business partners only with the user’s explicit consent or as required by law.

You may request a copy of your App data or request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@maisupport.ai. Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

6. Third-Party App Store Platforms

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Data collected by those platforms in connection with your download and use of the App is governed by Apple’s and Google’s respective privacy policies, not this Policy.

 

TERMS OF USE

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the maisupport.ai website and the Mai Support mobile application (collectively, the “Service”), owned and operated by Mai Support, LLC. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Mai Support, LLC. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

Certain features of the Service require account registration. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@maisupport.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial recovery support purposes, or, if you are a business partner, in accordance with your partner agreement with Mai Support, LLC. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Upload or transmit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

 

5. No Medical Advice or Clinical Services

The Service is a behavioral wellness and peer support tool. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI interactions within the App are not a substitute for professional medical evaluation, clinical counseling, or addiction treatment services.

If you are experiencing a mental health or substance use emergency, call 911 or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988. If you require clinical treatment for a substance use disorder, please contact a licensed treatment provider or SAMHSA’s National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to certain features of the App may require a paid subscription. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms are disclosed at the point of purchase and within your account settings. All payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card details.

Refunds are handled in accordance with the applicable app store policies (Apple App Store or Google Play) or as otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, technology, branding, and materials comprising the Service — including the App, website content, AI models, logos, and documentation — are the proprietary property of Mai Support, LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.

8. User-Generated Content

Any content you enter into the App (e.g., journal entries, goals, check-in responses) remains your property. By submitting content to the Service, you grant Mai Support, LLC a limited license to use that content to deliver the Service and, in de-identified and aggregated form, to improve the App’s features and AI capabilities.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party platforms. These links are provided for convenience. Mai Support, LLC does not endorse or assume responsibility for third-party content, products, or services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. MAI SUPPORT, LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. THE AI INTERACTIONS WITHIN THE APP ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CLINICALLY APPROPRIATE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAI SUPPORT, LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT WITHIN THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mai Support, LLC and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and App Data Practices Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mai Support, LLC regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
